Scored a red Chill
« on: June 18, 2019, 01:50:21 AM »
Picked this up yesterday, not sure if this is the forum to post in as its not really a kettle.

After I got it I looked at some pictures and it seems I'm missing the side tables.

It gets pretty cold inside there, might try to cut a round piece of foam to insulate the top

I don't know that much about them, only seen them here & locally from time to time.  Perhaps someone else knows what years they were made.

From what I e found, it is one of these, with a kettle style lid. A friend told me he thinks the handle is the European style

@SixZeroFour do you still have yours? Do the tables bolt on with U bolts or what? I was thinking I could just cut a radius on a couple toilet seat bowls and nobody would even notice lol

Here is one for sale in Illinois, a silver one. Idk about the site its for sale on

@Walchit

You are correct, the Summit brand unit you see in the Amazon link is/was the same unit as the Chill. I've searched for parts but haven't had much success. I do still have my red and blue chills but have yet to get the blue one back up and running properly due to a compressor issue. The tables have metal hooks that hang from the handrail of the unit. The table also has a wooden vertical support that rests against the chill body that you can see fairly well in the Summit pic.

I see what your saying. Idk I might try to make something similar. I wonder if they all came with the tables and that wine rack thing, or if they sold some without that stuff? I imagine those were just lost off of mine

   The tables came with the chill, the wine rack and interior caddy were accessories. I lucked up on the silver chill.
