Beef bones
« on: May 27, 2019, 06:07:11 AM »
Needed some beef ribs but this was the best I could find without 130 mile roadtrip...

Seasoned and on the Weber with some olive wood for smoke...

@ the 2 hour mark...

Marinated baby squash and stuffed shrooms...

Time to eat...

Ended up with an $8 pile of bones with a few bites of the most delicious meat ever to come off a cow...

130 miles for beef ribs but you could find olive wood in central Kansas?

Looks like a doggone fine meal. What did you stuff the mushrooms with?
Beer! It's what's for dinner...

No olive in Kansas...A buddy in California sent me a box...I use it very sparingly...Checked online...Priced WAY out of my budget...

Shrooms were stuffed with some leftover southwest seasoned beans, smashed with a fork and mixed with cheddar. Turned out pretty darn good.

I can imagine that stuff is expensive! Somewhere I saw an Italian guy is making pipes out of it.

Thanks for the info on the mushrooms. We do have good mushrooms here, I need to see what kind might be available that would be good for stuffing aside from the regular ones.

That looks and sounds incredible!  I have mushrooms. I’m going to try stuffing some tonight.

Thanks for the inspiration. I stuffed with a mixture of sautéed mushroom stems and fresh chopped garlic, cream cheese, shredded gouda, and Tony’s seasoning, and Parmesan. They were a big hit. I cooked them inside in the oven though.
