Update on my 1960 Custom
« on: May 12, 2019, 06:42:51 AM »
I finally got a chance to work on the custom. With the help of some PB Blaster I was able to get the thumb screws loose. After removing the legs I treated them with Evapo Rust and #0000 steel wool. The wheels and hubs turned out better than I thought they would. The vents and triangle were cleaned up with steel wool as well. I scrapped the lid and bowl interior with a razor scrapper. I still have to clean the outside of the bowl and lid as well as the ash pan. Overall it's been fairly easy to clean up and I'm pretty happy with the results. Hoping to have her finished for Memorial Day.
