I'm debating a Napoloen Pro vs Weber Master Touch and a big edge the Napoleon has is a hinged lid.
so wonder if there is a mod kit out there to give a Weber a hinged lid?

Look up the Unknown BBQ Hinge. I’m using it on my WSM and love it. I know it fits kettles too.
Hunsaker makes a hinge too, but I’m not sure whether it fits a kettle.
Or consider a slide-aside lid holder; cheaper, less invasive, and fits all sizes from the 26’er down to the SJ.

There is the unknown bbq hinge, for 60 bucks

I was wondering about putting a lid bale on my kettles. My char-griller has a hinge and I really like it. But I have no experience with a hinge on a weber. The char griller hinge would probably work pretty good. Idk how much they are. I can hit up customer service if you want me to
Edit: does the slide-aside just hang on the lip of the bowl? I was wondering about those type of accessories causing an air leak

thanks guys, that was enough of a lead to actually find a hing kit for the Weber Kettle:

now debating whether the I go Weber with the mod or spend about the same and get the Napoleon that comes with it already.
honestly...I wish I had enough to buy both and do a grill vs grill comparison over the summer.

You already know what everyone here would do! Doesn't the master touch have a lid bale already? Seems like that would work as good as a hinge, none of my craigslist kettles have one though so I'm not sure

A lid bale works great. That’s not one of the features I would worry about. Does the Napoleon have ash sweeps at all? That would be a much bigger deal to me.

I have read a few things about new Naploian grill but I have not seen anything about its cooking qualities. It has a few pros like the grate, lid hinge.
But I need to see more.
