Weber carry bag for Smokey Joe Silver
« on: June 07, 2013, 02:19:05 PM »
I am interested in the Weber carry bag to be used for my Smokey Joe Silver. Anyone have experience with this bag? It seems straight forward for transport to an event. However my assumption is it is just a nylon bag that is not insulated so would have to wait till kettle cooled off before I could put it back in bag. What’s the quality like, zippers, Velcro is it worth it. Is there a homemade solution out there to deal with warm grills safely? Common sense is I would never consider transporting a hot grill in this bag.

I have a bag for my Joe and I think it works very well.  Regarding letting it cool down, I think it would be wise to do that no matter what.
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

This far have used the Joe only on patio, so no issue letting it cool. So how long does it take for you normally to be able to place back in bag, based on say 1 layer of coals used.
