This is going suprising well but that lid took a beating. No holes but I am still getting another. Frame is in great shape once I run some thread through the shelf supports.

Who knows when I will come across a charcoal bin and control panel though. 🤷‍♂️

Good luck with your project. I have done one red ssp restore that required many hrs of work but not like this. When I saw this pic on the other thread, I said to myself.... RIP.   If you can restore this back.... this could be gold. Many ssp restore threads on here including mine for inspiration and ideas.


I am assuming this is a brownie or copper mist. I do have PP brownie performer project in mind for next year project.

Couldn't find suitable lock nuts at the local stores so I am going with all thread through the lower supports. Grand total of 8 dollars so far. Although the wife did order the lid off ebay for me... but hey that's a gift!  8)

Yea someone was selling just the lid to a copper mist kettle. Looked good but we will see when/if it arrives. Eitherway the original one doesnt have any holes and is pretty good one one side.
