« on: October 11, 2018, 04:07:48 PM »
Done! Overall I am very pleased with how this turned out as well. Fitment on this is also almost perfect.  ;D

bowl handle cut.

Cleaned, SS Sweeper set installed, and the bracket holes drilled out.

Brackets installed.

More pics coming.

I’m liking it. You just use a cut off wheel to remove the handle?

The lid I started out with. Started cleaning but wasn't getting much better.

All cleaned. I may change the lid handle strap set up later but for now this is what I settled on as I needed to cover up the damaged areas.

Other wood option I am considering.

few more pics to follow.

15/16 inch Dremel cut-off wheel. Turned out really nice.

Thank you all! Glad you guys like the build.

@Jules V.  - Got some 1/2" length bolts for the brackets. No cutting required. Made up some fiber gaskets to fit.

Final version.
Taco shell removed with the fireplace wood handle.

Very nice!  One question though, are you going to straighten out that handle?  I can't get over the curve.

 ;D ;D ;D

No not on this one. I have tried fireplace and reg. black handle strap on it, but with that big washer in place makes it looks even worse.  Least noticeable is with the taco shell in place but I rather have that off.  Bit of a compromise but I like the clean look. Original curved handle kind of makes the washer less noticeable.   Maybe I should keep the taco shell on. Should i keep it on or off?
