Hanging chicken legs.
« on: July 02, 2018, 02:55:16 PM »
Just had to try out the western lump so decided to hang some chicken legs for an afternoon snack.  Legs turned out excellent and  the lump passed the test with flying colors.

Almost like fried chicken. Crispy skin without grill/sear marks. This definitely will be on the regular rotation.

Digging the setup config. Part cookery, part railcar aesthetic, if that makes sense.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Much more fun than just dropping it on the grate. Will be adding 2 more rods to increase capacity for small items like legs and wings.

That's part of my multi-purpose cooker.  If you need detailed photo of the hanging rack, it has to wait for couple days until i get home.
