Custom 26er
« on: May 19, 2018, 09:12:04 AM »
It's been years since I've been active on this forum but I just finished my 26er mod and thought I would share. I love my 26er but hated the wobbly legs so I built my own. Here is my end result.

Nice cart!
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch

Very nice work, I call my 26 wobble a swagger, because it thinks it's bad ass. But I still would like it in some kind of table mod

@5280Jeff , that is some sweet work, and welcome back!

Now don't show up here after all this time, show us something this nice, and not share all if the details!
I want to know how you did it.

Two things, Joe.

1) Do you mean to say it leans "back," like so many other late model (circa 2008/2009-ish) 26s, from sockets being in the wrong position? We can fix that, and make it better-than-new!

2) Consider a Performer table? Not a perfect radius match for the 26er, but with 2 legs and 2 clips for the bowl I imagine it could work.

Let me know; I can help with both.

Where did you get that hinge? I feel like the 26” would really benefit from that. I want a hinge on mine!

It came with the factory lean LOL but 12 trips to the beach did her in but she cooked up a bunch of good food on those trips. She remains with the Swagger and still cooks. One of these days I will take the time
