can you paint inside the bbq? if yes, what kind of paint? is it possible to get the same enamel finish somehow?
Each purchase of a weber grill is a very special and rare occasion for me as they are rare to come by around here.

I certainly would not suggest that

I’ve used high temp paint sparingly with no issues in the bottom of the bowl only.  Many of the high temp paints have ceramic properties.   The ones I have used are good to 550+ F.

You can paint anything you want but I don't think you should ever.... NEVER EVER paint the inside of a grill

If you want to use it to eat from I would not. Clean any rust out and spray with cooking oil.

Kettles don't need painted, clean the rust, oil it, cook with it.  When the rust creates holes too big to cover then make it a planter or dedicated wing/pizza cooker.
Looking for: Red MBH 26"(The Aristocrat), Chestnut-coppertone (The Estate), Glen-blue (The Imperial), and The Plainsman.

And for God's sake move it off the deck! :o

No. You run the risk of releasing any toxic chemicals from the high heat paint that would transfer onto the food. Re-porcelain enamel finishing service costs more than a brand new kettle.

If it's a looker (just for looks), then you can do whatever you want to do with the grill you paid for.

Check the cleaning tips / section of this website.. perhaps the clean enamel is hidden underneath the grime, grease, oil & charcoal.

Generally, paint should be avoided inside a kettle.
