Smokey Joe Lantern
« on: March 06, 2018, 12:07:41 AM »
What started out as an idea that just popped into my head that I quickly sketched down.
A few weeks later I was talking to a fabricator mate of mine and he turned my idea into a reality.
My idea was to use it as a lantern/fireplace at first, but now I have it I may also mount a rotisserie to it down the track and use it as a cooker also.

That makes me want to create a mini Weber fireplace.
Go for it man, I’m spraying the ring in a high heat black paint today so it looks more factory. Then try it out tonight [emoji1360]

All sanded and painted in 1000f high heat paint and put to the test last night.
The photo really doesn’t do it justice looks so good with the fire flickering away.
Very happy with the outcome.

Thanks brother.

I have been asked by a few of the WKC Australian members about selling them, but it was not cheap to make.

I didn’t mind the price as it was an idea I needed to make a reality but others might, there will be 3 or 4 made for close friends but I don’t think many would want one once they hear the price hahaha.
