Yeah to have the steel rolled and welded, then to have the lettering cut was the bulk of the price.
The steel itself was very cheap.

Yeah, even certain types of stainless steel are pretty cheap in comparison if you count the cost of finishing plain mild steel. Best of luck. Cool idea.

Thanks you mate, if I left it unpainted I was going to use stainless but I wanted to paint it black to look more factory hence the use of mild steel.
