I happened upon a 26" kettle yesterday in a farmers back yard way over in the corner looked to have been there
for years so I ask..interested in selling that kettle back there ?? I get the reply "no" but.........you can have it :) hell yeah.
Now my question is it has the 3 vents on the bottom, about when where those manufactured ?? I'll post pics of
the rebuild I'm so excited I can't wait !!!

Listen.... any 26 for free is a major score!  Plus the 26 is so great to use as a cooker that I don't mind that mine is black.  The extra space is great no matter what color....

Nice rescue, black notwithstanding. Most of my collection is black and (if I may be allowed to boast) I prepare some great meals with them.

When it comes to a 26er, I don't think any of us will be picky about color... Except maybe those who have one already. Lucky buggers 😒
