The sportula, tailgater

So 4-5 years ago my wife got me the sportula set, if you dont know what it is its a 3 peice set with your teams name on the wood handles and the spatula is lazer cut with the team logo. So the fork i dont use and the tongs kinda suck. Spatula does its job well go figure. So i drilled out the rivets a few cuts here a bit of sanding there and now my tailgater midget 18 has a fresh pair of 49er handles

Thanks its my second attempt at making handles out of reclaimed wood and this time being patient worked out for the better. I also screwed them in from the under side using pliers and a philips bit

Very nice.  I agree that most BBQ sets are not worth a crap.  You certainly got your money's worth outta them ! ! !
