I need to convert natural to LP. Help!
« on: November 24, 2017, 04:59:31 PM »
So the gasser I purchased needs to be converted. I'm not having any luck finding the propane orifices... So, I guess I'll have to buy blanks and drill them. Does anyone know what size to drill? Is the side burner different?  Thanks!

Try this, Ken: https://www.clagrills.com/allgrillparts/weber/weber-all-valves.htm I might have some Lp orifices around if you’re interested.

I Have some parts in the shed...if you don't find what you are looking for let me know and I'll dig them out to see if they will work for you.

Look up a orifice comparison chart.  I think the three burner Genesis models are 36,000 BTU total, so you would be looking for an LP orifice that would be rated for 12,000 BTU/Hr.  According to this chart, you would need either a 59 or 58 drill for blanks or just order that size of orifice.  59 slightly undersized, 58 slightly oversized.

I'm sure you thought of this but you could pick up a beater lp grill and steal the whole manifold. That's basically what I did
