Weeknight frozen patties.
« on: August 28, 2017, 04:46:34 PM »
Was a pretty busy weekend for myself. Worked 2, 16 hour shifts and a 12 hour one today. Didn't get to cook anything till tonight. Got home and the wife and kids were going to bed. I was starving and wanted to eat something. They ate all the leftovers so I was without a really quick meal.
Frozen patties to the rescue. They are a good quick fix, but I can never get them right. I like cooking fresh patties. Let's get the mini lit up.

The patties, cheese, chili dust and fresh jalapeņo from the garden.

Let's get cooking.

Almost there. Getting the cheese nice and melted.

Homemade pickles and a little Sriracha.

Sliced.

And now bitten.

Gotta say, this was mighty good after a long weekend working and man were they spicy!!!

Fabulous!  That looks incredible. I'm a big fan of the frozen patties. Nice touch with the jalapeņo.

Jesus, that's a f#%kin burger! Which brand did you use? I've tried bubba burgers and liked them.

We keep the Cattleman's Ranch burgers from ALDI in the freezer for when we are in a pinch. I like fresh also but nothing wrong with a frozen burger. Looks tasty!

Looks great. Sometimes convenience wins. Much better then eating a hot pocket.

These were cheap Aldi 1/4 lb burgers. They are decent enough to get the job done. I really like the Costco brand ground sirloin burgers best. I actually have some but want to get through these first.

Burger looks delicious! Frozen patties are a guilty pleasure of mine. I grill 'em once a year for the kids at the school where I work as a school-wide incentive. Simple, easy to stack on a bun, and tasty.
