Joe, the one you posted pics of in this thread is a gen 3.  The gen 4 came with black metal table and larger lid bale.

IDK I put my serial number or part number in at the Weber site. That's what it showed.  But... The Weber site is pretty flaky. Take for ever to find what you want.

What letter code is stamped on the damper?

Ok thanks. Where do I find this info? The Weber site is so hard to find anything.

Ok well I think I found some info. Mine must be a gen 3 from 2014 do to the color being blue.
But it also had the electronic ignition that came out with the gen 4.

I don't know. Oh well. Just trying to get the history and what exactly I have here.

There are two pages here that have all the info, but difficult to get to with Tapatalk, so I'll have to paste links when I get to a desktop.   One is the history / evolution / timeline of Performers, the other is an Age Guide for dating Webers based on vent code

@Joetee that is the deluxe model with gas assist, see the lighting instructions on the grey flip up panel. The blue is a great color. It looks to be in pretty good shape. I would go for it at that price. Great grill. First two upgrades- 1) new style lid bale + rollers. 2) new style black metal table. Done and Done. Good luck-
Can you give me part numbers for the upgrade lid bale and steel table please?

Ok I found the part numbers for my performer:

Metal table 65189
Lid bale 65188 I think
Chain assm 65197

Not all these numbers are what my AT performer calls for so I assume they are for a newer model.

So if these numbers are correct, how do I order from the Weber site?  Or do I have to call them?

Is there somewhere else I should order them from?

Thanks

@Joetee

New style lid bail (as equipped on the 2015 Performers and M/T) - #65188

                                                                      Black steel table - #65189

Weber customer service   1-800-466-1071

Be advised that some Weber representatives are reluctant to place an order if you do not have a grill registered that matches the part number.  I guess it has to do with liabilities and parts being returned.

Hey Joe. I have heard of customer service not selling parts for stuff not registered as well. There would be no harm in registering something you do not have in order to subsequently order a table top or whatever. You are only doing it in order to make a purchase and cannot take advantage of Momma Weber by doing so.

Ok thank you.
I just called them and told them I'm upgrading and gave them the three part numbers.
Table, lid bale, and chain assm.
$112 including shipping. I guess that's a good price but after all, it is a great grill. I love it.
Oh some of you might recall my gas assist wires were disconnected when I bought this. I went and got a gas bottle and hooked it up and it works just fine. Only thing I can think of is the previous owner had kids and didn't want them starting a fire.
