I was busy cleaning up one of my grills and I saw the marks on the legs from the ash frisbee springs and figured I would polish it out .... with out using my brains I grabbed the makita and a scotch brite wheel and went to town on it.
The scratches are gone.. and so is the anodized coating!
I forgot that these were late model legs and they are anodized and can't be cleaned up like the old ones can.
3 hours later I had the entire leg sanded down to bare aluminum and polished back out .
I guess this is one of those life lessons that I'm expected to remember later. :-(
