Ash catcher color.
« on: April 22, 2017, 11:04:22 AM »
Hi, I just bought a new Master Touch and have a question. I'm new to Webers and always looking at old and new trying to learn. Why are some of the ash catchers black and some silver? Are they different models or just color?
Thanks

I believe the black new MT has a silver and the Canadian Special Ed. black.

There were a few years around 2010-11 when the ash catcher was black. The OTGs produced during these years also have black triangles. IMO, the black ash pan looks great on a black kettle. You can always paint a silver ash catcher. It's an easy job and generally turns out pretty well.
