does anybody know the actual count of briquettes in a large bag
Sent from my SM-N920T using Weber Kettle Club mobile app
326 to 328 briquettes.
Method 1.
3 pounds of the old briquettes contained 53 briquettes. 3 pounds of the new briquettes contained 52.5 briquettes.
So, old B : 1lb=17.67 B
1bag=18.6lb=328.6 B
new B: 1lb=17.5 B
1bag=18.6lb=325.5B
Method 2.
When we weighed 7 whole, large briquettes of each type, both samples weight exactly 180 grams.
7 large B=180 grams, so 1 L B= 25.7 grams
In 18.6lb bag : ( since 1lb=453.59 grams ) 18.6 x 453.59=8436.8 grams
So, 8436.8 divide by 25.7=328 B
So, all large size B will yield 328.6 to all small at 325.5. So, I would say at average 327 briquettes in each 18.6lb bag.
Data in quotation was gathered from here.

Open one up and count them and see if I am right.
