Value of an 18" Bud Light Kettle
« on: January 26, 2017, 12:32:03 PM »
Not sure if this belongs hear or in trading post, so apologies in advance if I got it wrong.  Someone is selling a Weber 18" Blue Bud Light Kettle for $100 never used.  Obviously if it were just a regular kettle that price would be high, but is there any additional value in the Bud Light promotional ones?
Looking for 22" or 26" kettles and 22" WSMs, NIB or like new in the Chicago area.
Also, looking for old Summit gas grill parts.

Not really. A new 18.5" kettle is ~$90 all in so if you like blue and bud light then go for it.

A standard black 18" grill retails for $80 (not including tax and/or shipping), and colored 18s aren't as readily available. IMO, the additional value would be in the fact that it is blue, as opposed to the Bud Light logo.  Some folks feel the promotional logos diminish the value and others prize the the logos.

In other words... it's worth it if you feel it is...

Is it an OTG or a Silver?

Not a Bud Light, but I've seen Blue 18" Sam Adams and others and the majority have been OTS's, so factor that into the price if its got the ash can assembly.

I cook on: Backwoods Gater, Lang 36, Hunsaker Smokers, Pellet Pro 22" WSM, BGE's, WSM's, Cajun Bandits, PK Grills, Drum Smokers, Genesis Silver C, Weber Q's, Cookshack 008, Little Chief, La Caja China #2, Lodge Sportsman...oh yeah! Weber Kettles! Kamado restoration and pit modification hack!
