Looking for info on my vintage grill
« on: April 10, 2022, 05:27:18 AM »
So all know about this kettle is my great uncle bought this in the mid to late 1960s. My dad is letting me have it. We have a few plans for it. Recently got in back into grilling and I'm definitely diving head first into grilling and smoking on my weber kettles. I was also gifted a 22" kettle from 2011 by my mom that I plan to heavily modify for more of a smoking approach.

Nice looking Avacado!  Would have to see bottom vents and leg sockets I think to date it.  You'll be surprised how nicely it will clean up.  Congrats!

can you take a better pic of the lid vent, also take the grate out of the bowl, I want to see what position the grate straps are.
I am not a collector, but I do have a small collection.

Does it have metal wheels?  My guess is 1968 (lid vent appears to be blank- pre patent pending)
