Christmas appetizer ideas
« on: November 28, 2016, 01:23:01 PM »
I'm going to an annual Christmas party this Saturday and will be bringing an appetizer. Years past I've done jalapeño poppers and wings. What are some other ideas?  Luckily It's less than a mile away so keeping food warm won't be a problem.

Pig Shots...easy to make and a real nice appetizer treat.

My neighbor made these up for a tailgate event.

Thanks for all the great ideas fellas. I've not cooked any of those yet. I might try to do a couple of them. This should be fun.

I grilled some bacon candy for T-day and they loved it. After that I dusted some bite-sized pumpkin pieces with pie spice and wrapped with bacon and they said it was like a pumpkin pie wrapped in bacon.

Wow the bacon wrapped pumpkin sounds great.

I just found out this morning that the party is canceled. My friends daughter broke her foot and has surgery this week.

I'll have to make some of these this weekend anyways. The launch sequence was already activated.

I'll drop some off to them

Basically wrapping anything in bacon is great.  I've done variations on moinks with chicken, sausage or other meats laying around.  I think I prefer the chicken breast version with no sauce and just a little rub.  The clean chicken flavor contrasts nicely with the bacon.
