The Perfect Way to Brine Your Turkey
« on: November 18, 2016, 08:13:25 PM »
So I picked up The Briner today, which is basically a glorified bucket for brining, but does have a really handy feature to lock the meat down in the brine and prevents it from floating. Anyways, it really is handy but unfortunately it wouldn't fit in my fridge, so while I was trying to figure out what to do with it my son said "What about that cooler thing?"

Turns out the kid had a great idea.

The bucket fits perfectly inside my Weber Chill. I cranked it on and prepped the brine, which it's holding at a perfect 34F.

Thats a good use of that chill.

I use a ten gallon igloo water cooler with a round 2" thick slab of ice to drown the turkey.
