Happy Easter!
« on: March 31, 2013, 05:06:55 PM »
I got a chance to try out my new toy this morning.

so I could roast these:

I used them to make a roasted red pepper dip - more or less hummus with Feta cheese and roasted red peppers.

Later I used it to start my 18.5 WSM

So I could make this

into this

Happy Easter all!

That looks like some great food, Hank!  And yet another reason I should buy one of those mini-chimneys.

I originally saw it on Primal Grill but I cannot find the original recipe. Maybe it was one of his other shows. Here is the recipe from one of my blog posts:
Quote
4 red peppers
1 can garbanzos (chickpeas)
7 oz Feta cheese
2 cloves garlic
(Blend these and add)
juice from one lemon
1/4 C EVOO
salt
cayenne
black pepper
These days I start with 1C dry chickpeas rather than canned and used three peppers this time because they seemed to be pretty meaty. And more garlic.  ;D
