I'm not familiar with the GA but they look intriguing for camping, etc.  One question about the lid....does it have "hangers" in it so it hangs off the back of the grill like that or are those just leaning up against the back of the grill?  Hard to tell from the pictures.

They hang. You can see the lid hanging in this pic

Thanks for the pic.  That makes sense now.  I have a 22" master touch (first kettle).  I might be looking to add one of these or a JJ to use with our camper.  Thanks again!

A JJ will give you more real estate.

A *GASP* Q 1200 will be most convenient.

Note: the lid hangers on the older GA’s are angled whereas the newer GA’s lid hangers are straight.  The angled hangers don’t play nice with CI Craycorts.

Lol, I have a N code JJ and a Q2200 John Deere. My JJ is definitely the go to camping grill. Lots of cooking options on the 18.5"

Sign that cat up! Any creature that worships Weber in this way deserves an honorary membership. If this one is anything like mine, they are the definition of Go Anywhere!

My questions is why Weber doesn't make a Jumbo GA?

Hi Harris I noticed you have the vents the opposite way on the brown grill as the red is there a reason you switched them around I was thinking about setting my black GA grill like that but the legs seemed to hit the vents when I tried to fold it down or maybe it was up can't remember now ?

The original short leg models came with the side vents flipped the opposite way like the brown one has them. To open you raised them rather than lowered them.

I don't think they marketed colors in the USA.
The Red Snap On is a sweet grill and is probably the only exception and probably fairly rare.
Would love one of those..
@Heyjude Weber introduced the Black, brown and red in the USA in the seventies.
