« on: March 30, 2013, 01:17:19 PM »

I fresh roast coffee on it using a rotisserie and stainless steel drum.

The weber summit gold a6 is a little over kill but for $100 on CL it is my coffee roaster ;)

Lovin the idea
I'm not much of a coffee nut myself but was wondering and this may seem stupid but could you add smoking wood to the mix?
Would the beans take on any of the smoke flavour?
I'm only 2 or 3 kettles away from being that creepy guy down the street with all the Webers

I have thought the same thought and I am looking at picking up a rotisserie for my kettles and trying it that way.

I may be pulling the trigger in a few days over at the cajun bandit site. If I do I will post picks and let you know.

I'm sure that's true!

Sadly I have had to reduce my coffee consumption to 3 cups/day.  :( I now satisfy that urge with a K-cup brewer.

What temperature do you use to roast coffee? I presume the picture is with the fan cooling off the roast when the coffee is finished.

I know beer is a popular libation associated with grilling and smoking but I'm sure I'd appreciate a cup of your coffee more than a good brew.  ;D
kettles, smokers...
