KettlePizza on 18.5?
« on: October 06, 2016, 06:24:03 PM »
Anyone try their KettlePizza on an 18.5? I'm going to my parent's house this weekend and want to use my KettlePizza. Problem is, I only have a 26' and an 18.5 there. Thoughts?
Looking for colored 18's and SJ's.

I guess that you can drill new holes for an 18. Bend is to shape and bolt it up. Mine came with an insert to extend it for a 26.

You don't need a Kettlepizza for pizza on the grill. The KP is just great fun and a good way to pump out a lot of great pizza.

Mine has holes for 18 and 22.  Isn't the 26 the same thing with an added section?  I'd just give it shot.

Don't get too much charcoal or any flames from wood under the pizza stone.

There are holes for 18 and 22 pre drilled.  The 26 requires an expansion piece.  Instructions available online: https://www.dropbox.com/s/yvqvdusqpbpd64l/newinstructionsbooklet_rev6_Jan2015.pdf?dl=0

I'm thinking the 18.5 might be a lot more efficient as far as fuel usage goes.  I would just start with less fuel than you are probably using on your 22 or 26er.   @blieb is right, you should already have holes in your KP for using on an 18.5 kettle.  Let us know how it goes.  I have a 18 that can become my pizza maker if it works better and is more fuel efficient than the 22.

My KP does have the holes drilled for the 18.5 but I decided not to try it because I was the only one who wanted pizza.
