RRR at WCO
« on: September 16, 2016, 04:52:26 PM »

My daughter is Cheer coach at William C. Overfelt HS

About a month ago we were hanging out with our granddaughter at a home game, and we were greeted by this...

No, it wasn't abandoned with the Brinkman - it's the dedicated hotdog cooker.

Having WKOCD, I had to do something.

This afternoon I grabbed a suspension setup and headed to the game this afternoon.

Mama Ruth had just started the coals (the lighter fluid was near by), so thinking this shouldn't take too long I just dumped them into the lid.

I was wrong...

Corrosion was bad. I've never had one this bad. Had to go MacGyver on it...

In between time, the brand new Brinkman had a bad lean and was threatening to fall on the cook.

Since safety seemed more important,  so had a couple students hold the legs while I tried to fix the previous "mis-installation".

It's fun putting together a grill while a full load of coals are going.

Anyway, long story longer, the grill is back in business...

Felt good!

Dude, relax your chicken.

I don't know which one is more entertaining.  You @dazzo changing the suspension while a kettle has been fired up with lit briquettes or @Darko chasing the elusive "glowing red kettle".  Nice work Macdazzo.

RRR at its d inestimable.  Great save sir...  great save
Lets just say I have acquired a few Kettles.  Big and small.   Vintage and New...  Some say I have a problem.  I find the Kettle, buy the Kettle, USE the Kettle...No problem...
