Sam Adams grill
« on: September 23, 2016, 10:46:31 AM »
I noticed a Sam Adams grill on my local cl for $150.  It doesn't say what size but I think it's an 18 black color.  I've never been a weber collector so don't know what the value or rarity is but the grate looks really cool.  The ad says it's never been used.  What did these things go for new?

Seems high for a black SA kettle, even with the cool, plasma cut grate. Obviously, blue & copper, are the more desirable of the three SA colors.

Obviously looking for a Glen Blue (who isn’t?😂).

Looking for anything Happy Cooker, including any re-branded as Montgomery Ward.  I’ve amassed a nice collection, but I’m missing a few still.  Let me know if you can help a fella out🤞

How long has it been listed? If it's been posted for a while then low ball it and see what happens.

I love my Sam Adams 18. Too scared to use the kick ass grate it came with though.
Looking for colored 18's and SJ's.

I think I'll pass on this one.  Even though the grate looks cool, I'm not sure I would like cooking on it.  Besides, I've got more important things to purchase like MEAT to cook this weekend.

Here is the add if anyone near the area is interested http://indianapolis.craigslist.org/for/5759156935.html

That one looks cool.  I was thinking the same thing about the grate.  I'd hate to mess one up if I had one.

I have the same one! Paid now where near that from a liquor store that had it on display. I would offer $75.00 and what happens go up to $100 but I would not go $1.00 higher myself. Its been up for 23days! @HoosierKettle

Judging by the vent, it is seeing some action.  Great pic!

If it's an 18 copper I'll buy it.

Bought a brand new copper without the cool grate for $15 last year. Put an OTG pan on it and it's a great little lunch cooker.

Wouldn't pay a hundo for it though. Until very recently, the black was in the Sam website for like $60.

I wouldn't pay $150 for an 18" Sam Adams grill in Black, Blue, or Copper. $50 sounds better to me if it is new.
