I used as hot water as I could, from the tap. Then dropped in two ears of corn that had been in an ice bath. At about 15min it was at a rolling boil and ready for frozen seafood. 10min later not boiling, but everything was plenty hot. My girl doesn't eat seafood, so yes... That was all mine.
