Kettle lighting?
« on: November 21, 2015, 07:00:48 AM »
My grills are off the side of my patio and the lighting sucks.  Has weber ever had any kind of a lighting accessory for the kettles?  Performer pop-up light or something?

I have a clamp on utility light, the kind with the reflector. About $10 at Lowes..got it clamped to the overhang of my carport, shining on my grill area. Works great!

I've got one very similar to what @TheDude is ordering. Works great, just clamp it to the handle.

Get yourself a headlamp. They are relatively cheap and light wherever you look.

I've got a similar model to this but they don't make the one I have anymore: http://www.amazon.com/Petzl-Tikka-Headlamp/dp/B003UO31FY/ref=pd_sbs_468_2?ie=UTF8&dpID=41Hch04YSlL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160%2C160_&refRID=0W052JR603Y7JRAYSSRM

Petzl (the brand) is good.

I use a head lamp myself with a neutral tint (3D) led in it so i can see the colors of the food better and has around 1600 lumens on high (with the high powered battery).  Its a semi custom light that we had input on the modes, driver, type of led and tint among other things.

This is the light http://www.banggood.com/BLF-A6-CREE-XPL-1600LM-7-4modes-EDC-LED-Flashlight-p-991823.html
it sales for $39.95 but with this code GBLFA6SE you get $10 off and free shipping.
i use this head strap https://www.fasttech.com/p/2062807 which is $3.19 with free shipping also and use code BLF for 5% off that.

Final specs of the light are listed here. http://budgetlightforum.com/node/36667

Sorry to get carried away as this is one of my other hobbies

Man Law light came in the other day. Been sick and haven't had a chance to cook yet. Damn this thing is beefy. Solid metal construction all the way around. I'd say 6-7lbs without batteries.  Bright is f*ck with 12 LEDs. Look forward to a live trial, as I'm feeling pretty good today.

Yes, headlamps work great.  I use them all time around the house or out in the wild for things.  I was hoping someone would say there was a very rare Weber kettle specific light.  Maybe i need to build a Weber lantern stand or kettle dome illumination system....
