What clips onto the kettle? Is it something like a conduit holder or a re-purposed tool hook?

Thanks guys I appreciate the comments. @austin87 if you take a peek at some of the first pics it kinda just snaps onto the handle. Even though it fits tight I am considering changing that up a bit to be more universal for the different types of hadles

Ahh now I see. I thought you were using the handle as a spacer for the gaps in the wood. Makes perfect sense, thanks!

About $25.00 total and about 4 hours labor. She is finished and looks pretty good on the copper kettle

Like I said on facebook, that stain looks really good with the copper kettle!  Really nice job.  I was thinking the total was going to come in closer to $50.  You should definitely look into selling these...probably unstained so the buyer can figure out how they want to finish it.

Now onto the big questions...whatcha cooking?  Doesn't look like a smoke from where you thermo is sitting!
