So last night I throw a nice slab of salmon and some asparagus on the Smokey Joe for a quick Saturday night dinner. While I'm waiting on the cook I hop on the tablet for a quick CL search. First post I see is a curb alert for like 50 things, including "weber charcoal grill". It was posted 3 hours before I saw it. Checked the contact info....phone number....yes!!
Called it and the owner tells me she just looked out window and lots of stuff is gone but grill still there. Place about 10-15 min away. Getting ready to run out the door and then I remember I got a cook going and SWMBO is HUNGRY and not happy about the prospect of "another grill".
Shit!!!!
Bottom line it was a long 15 min Saturday night dinner, but I lucked out and still got the grill before anyone else.
When I pulled up in the dark, at first I didn't see it and was like UGhhhh! But then noticed a lumpy silhouette which just so happened to be a pre patent avocado preserved in an old trash bag. Bag fell apart in my hands so its been covered for quite a spell. All I did so far was wipe it down with a wet rag. Its in good shape. Little bit of lid rash but no dents or crazing. SCORE
