Copper Performer Question?
« on: September 08, 2015, 06:02:45 PM »
What year did Weber introduce the current color Copper performer?

I would like to find one without the heat shield handle and the vent in the wrong location.

Erich - Weber introduced the copper performer in 2014.  I ordered a bowl and lid directly from Weber to build my custom ("Bisbee"), and I believe @SixZeroFour  did the same for his SS copper performer conversion.  Based on your note, that is the model you are looking for.

In an ongoing relationship with a kettle named Bisbee.

Thanks for the info. I am planning a custom cart "performer" and copper is the color that fits our patio area best.

I was originally planning to buy a new performer and take the parts I needed and sell off the frame and table.  As my design evolves, I am using less and less of the performer.

I am at the point where I will only be using the bowls, lids, grates, thermometer, burner tube and igniter.
