Had trouble with Photobucket but here it is at 3:45.

Done.

Doing this was fun but most of all Bacon at the Market is Almost $6.00/lb.  I made $100.00 of bacon for a little over $30.00 and from the first couple pieces I fried up there's no comparison.  Thanks for following this.

@fedex   There is NO comparison between real bacon and mass-produced bacon-like substance.   Great choice on the cut(meaning location of sow belly), it's mostly meat ;D            SJ

That looks amazing. Might try this with the second half of the pork belly I have. How long was the curing time?

Looks beautiful!  Maybe I should ask santa for a meat slicer for Christmas.

Hello,
Where did you buy your pork belly? The ones I get are always cut into thirds.
Thanks

Looks good!

Costco has whole pork belly often for $2.20-2.99/lb (last one I got was 9.5 lbs!).

I do tend to smoke mine with applewood chunks on my WSM for 4-5 hours.

for those that have never made their own bacon.......please, just go ahead and do it.  The process is very simple (it just takes time), and the final product will blow you away.  I was expecting it to be good the first time I made it, but I never expected it to be THAT good.  Well, it was THAT GOOD!  It is totally different that anything you can buy at the grocery store.

fedex......that looks great.  Made my mouth water just seeing the pics.  Time for some BLT's
