kinda seems like a complicated solution to a nonexistent problem.

I agree, it's kind of like a consultant - points out a problem that exists, but isn't really a problem, then sells you a solution.

Not really a lot of info, a couple vague youtube vids from Lori Frazee. I've seen Jason Whitcomb of the Unknown BBQ hinge comment on it.

Supposedly its some type "gravity feed system" and from what I can see it may have some Vortex type action going for it?

The Fire Butler is in production and was distributed to some people for feedback.  In the mean time, check out Fire Butler on Facebook.
