replacing plastic vent handle
« on: July 22, 2015, 06:02:43 PM »
I recently came across a blue ss performer. One of the problems with it was that the old owner managed to melt every plastic handle on the grill. So what would be the best way to remove the plastic handle from a doner kettle vent, and install it on the blue kettle? I assume that best way to remove the melted handle is to just dremel it off.

http://weberkettleclub.com/forums/weber-kettles-accessories/plastic-handle-on-vent-tab-help-!!/ This thread should help. Make sure you don't punch yourself in the chest/face when it pulls off. (pull away from your body)

Thanks, worked really great.  Although I just picked up a blue ss Performer in great condition. Had to drive 2 hours each way, but it was worth it.
