Some amazing cook-ups, so far.  Also, a thank you to @1911Ron for this concept of cooking on the 18".  A happy belated birthday to Ron.

Second ….  A BIG Happy "LX" Birthday to @1buckie on Saturday.  You are an inspiration to all of us consumers of large amounts of bacon.  8) ;D ;)

I love cooking on my 18s.  I also love doing butts on my go-to butt cooker …. My 18" Outrider.  Got it going.

Removed an 8 lb butt after 8 hours …. Hot-n-Fast!

While it rested, I cut up some pineapple.

After I removed the butt, I gathered all of the remaining charcoal and put it into a basket.  Before adding the pineapple, I added some more lit charcoal.

Who says that these cookers don't get hot enough??

Q: How do you know something is bull$h!t?
A: When you are not allowed to question it.

Beer.

You'll need to tilt your neck until @Troy fixes the pic server.

OK  @1911Ron  (and just for you @demosthenes9 ) here are some pics of my 2nd cook ever on an 18.5 kettle.  Too my total surprise; (1) Redheads do change color, and (2) I loved this cook  ...  thank you for the challenge and the enlightenment !!!

Here is my 'new' Redhead.  She's always has a little coke with her and great legs ...

Geting the Veggies ready ...

Spuds first ...

Followed by the fresh picked Squash ...

Prep the coals and create the heat-shield ...

While the starter coals get hot, get to that Salmon ...

Pick an apple for desert, prep for baking ..

Potatoes low, Squash and Apple high, getting it going ...

Getting it all together, timing is pretty good this time ...

A ways into the cook, got to get those veggies onto the grill to pickup some of the 'cedar' smoke ...

Notice the color shift at this point in the cook, she's getting hot under the colar (bonnet?) ...

Pull it and Plate it, Spuds and all.  That fresh picked Walla-Walla onion was perfect.  The jar is just made Plum Glaze ...

Finally, Over the Rainbow is the baked apple with a little more Brown sugar, Walnuts, and Cinnamon ...

What a tasty dinner ... couldn't ask for more   ;D        SJ

"Too Beef, or Not too Beef" ...

Looking for Dark Blue MBH 22", Dark Green MBH 22", Yellow MBH 22", Glen Blue MBH 22", Avocado MBH 22".
