Stubbs "All Natural Charcoal Briquets" is what I use a lot of. Burns clean and even not a lot of waste. I also use Frontier "100% Natural Hardwood Lump" I'll mix the two together.
Wife said "No more GRILLS in this house!" So I bought a 2nd house!

I like lump when visiting my dad's place partly because his Performer is amazingly frugal compared to mine. Even with new sweeps mine won't shut down after the cook like his does; his is stone cold in 30 mins. I've seen new kettles that can't do that.
It's the iconic symbol for the backyard. It's family/friends, food and fun. What more do you need to feel everything [is] going to be all right. As long as we can still have a BBQ in our backyard, the world seems a bit of a better place. At least for that moment. -reillyranch
