Nothing toxic just a thermo that exploded in one of my cookers. If you blow up (pun) the pic youll see the broken glass and two body parts laying in there. Some of the glass is on the support bar in the bottom of the pic. It still works well enough I just stand the dial up in the holes, probably wont work after it gets greasy.
