started with a serving tin from wally world and the bottom of a food grade barrel

Not quite sure.....did you rivet the flaps up to the upper section?

i used 1/2 in self tapping screws  and cut the outside of the metal and folded it up to protect the sides of the grill when banking coals or running a snake
