Maple Mustard Plank Salmon
« on: March 28, 2015, 04:40:16 PM »
Started off by marinating the salmon in butter, whole grain mustard, maple syrup, and parsley.
Salmon on the plank going onto one of the reds

After about 20 minutes, put a spoonful more of the marinade on

Plated up with some roasted brussel sprouts

Came out super moist and tender. Wonderful flavor with the sweet from the syrup and bite from the mustard.

Thanks for stopping by!

How do you get the sprouts blackened like that? For me to get that color I basically have to throw them in a cast iron pan with oil that's almost smoking. I would love to get that on the grill (or in the oven if I have to).

Great looking plank cook! Reminds me I have a whole filet in the freezer I'll have to throwdown with soon. Veggies look good too.

Hey Austin,
They just go in the oven at 375 on a heavy pan (we use the bottom half of the broiler pan) for about 40 minutes. Cut 'em in half and toss with some olive oil and salt and pepper. Those were a little darker than we like, but they came out great!
