Grilling for the surf team
« on: December 21, 2014, 02:54:56 PM »
It was our turn to help feed the kids on the surf team today. The contest was in Oceanside and the waves were going off! I used my "A" code for the cook, as it breaks down easy and is big enough to make flippin a bunch of burgers and dogs super easy.

I had my girls helping to get them ready to go. After they were done, the girls had the buns with cheese ready and then got wrapped in foil. Once wrapped, they went into a cooler to stay warm. This worked awesome!

In the end, I made 48 cheeseburgers and a couple dozen hotdogs for the team and parents. Super stoked that everything went smoothly and everyone was very thankful for the hot lunch.

Great job. That's a lot of burgers and dogs cooked on a 22.

I was only doing them 5 at a time over the super hot coals. Those Costo quarter pounders cook real quick!
