My Birthday Dinner
« on: October 29, 2014, 08:38:39 PM »
I talked to one of the guys in the meat department at Kroger and I asked him if they had about any 3 pack thick cut Ribeye's. We proceeded to talk for another 15mins, and he asked me to hold on for a minute. He went into the back and came out with two Thick Cut Ribeye's! The price was excellent so I took them!

I went to the wine section, grabbed a good cab, and headed home.

I salted my steak with Kosher salt, and let it tenderize at room temperature.

I washed, patted dry, & put EVOO on  some green beans.

Here are pics of my plate, and my Birthday cigar smoke.

A good steak, good red and a good cig - bloody fine way to treat yourself on a birthday.  Have a great remainder of your day there Eccj.

Be well,

Hoss

Happy Birthday eccj!  I think that looks like another.  You should do it all over again.  Still have that other steak?

Thanks 604! I'm getting better with the timing of my cooks! Everything was hot and the flavors were popping! The Cab paired well with the food too!
