Going to be visiting the SoCal area - anyone up for a meetup?
« on: February 04, 2015, 10:26:01 PM »
I'm going to be in Palm Springs beginning on the 14th (1 week) but hope to get over to the coast one day to meet up with Troy. Would love to meet any other SoCal based members if anyone's around! Please chime in or shoot me a pm if you're interested 8)

I have a bit of flexibility in terms of scheduling... @Troy what works for you?

I work from home now, so i'm pretty flexible.

Sunday the 15th is probably going to be best though.

That may work for me.  I'm neck deep into my daughters softball right now but we may be off that weekend.  Keep me posted.

The wife and I are planning to get away a bit for the weekend, but I may be able to delay until next weekend. Please keep us posted on when/where this meetup will take place.

Sunday the 15th looks good to me.

Location?

Make a full day of it and cook some grub?

@SixZeroFour if you are willing to drive to the coast, Doheney State Beach is a nice option.

This location has plenty of room, but no protection from drizzle/rain.

It seems like summer right now, but you never know...  ;D

doheney is awesome, minus the $15 parking.

i'm a big fan of aliso beach, but I'm not sure if we can bring our own grills there.

we could always have it at my house too. I'm 7 minutes from Doheney.

Yea I'm fine with driving out to the coast. The two beaches must be quite close to each other? Both routes show pretty much bang on 2 hrs from PD

I can't do it on the 15th since that's the day we're celebrating Valentine's stuff.  I'm too cheap to get raped on the real day.

Damn, that is 3 1/2 hours from me, I was hoping for a leisurely drive into Palm Springs which is about 70 miles from me.
