Weber 60th Anniversary Facebook pics
« on: December 01, 2012, 10:09:36 PM »
I found these on Weber's FB page. There's a bunch more on there, but these caught my interest. Weber must have had a contract with Olan Mills photography in the early '70s.  ;D

The above pic must have inspired the artwork of the pic below from the "Weber Covered Way" cookbook.

Here's an interesting double handle?  :o gasser kettle from 1971. What is the black thing on the lid that Ron Burgundy dressed as Alan Alda is holding?  ???

Here's what appears to be an early 18.5 kettle that Weber's FB page lists as being from 1954.  This one makes me want a '50s cooker more and more everyday. I'm diggin' the early metal wheels from this era.

Yeah - like either one of them could yank that meat off the grill using those wimpy tongs!

Cool photos, I'll have to get over to Weber FB for a look myself.

I dunno, are those white wheels legit? That traingle looks like its a reproduction. Its too nice compared to the rest of the grill. 57 years and it looks too new.. IMHO.. 8)

You know, we always called each other Weberfellas. Like you said to, uh, somebody, You're gonna like this guy. He's all right. He's a Weberfella. He's one of us. You understand? We were Weberguys. Weberfellas. But AJ and I could never be members because we had other grills. It didn't even matter that my others were Webers. To become a member of "The Club" you've got to own one hundred per cent Webers so they can trace all your scores back to craigslist. See, it's the highest honor they can give you. It means you belong to the WKC. It means that nobody from any other website can mess around with you. It also means you could mess around with any of them just as long as they aren't also a WKC member. It's like a license to grill. It's a license to grill anything. As far as we were concerned with Shauny becoming a member, it was like we were all becoming members. We would now have one of our own as a Weber Kettle Club member.   8)
