My late holiday weekend cook.
« on: July 07, 2014, 02:06:53 PM »
So I worked the 4th and the day after then yesterday was spend some time with the girlfriend so today the order is some bbq. Needing stuff to be able to just grab and go with work being so busy I decided to do a pork butt and some pepper stout beef. Both of which I will freeze in small containers that I can take and use as needed for the rest of this month as I will be on call for. So the first order of the day was shuffle kettles around and get the 2 SS performers cleaned off and set up. Also cleaned up the Crate and Barrel performer and used it to light the coals.

All set up and ready to put the meat on.

Meat rolling along nicely and these are at about 2 1/2 hours in.

The foil packets got lunch in them.
Left over ribeye and red potatoe that I had made the night of the 4th. Figured just let them warm up on the grill while it is going.

Chuck ready to go on the veggies and get wrapped up.

And my leftovers lunch!

Will check back in later with some more pics as it progresses.

Looks yummy! I have been working extra shifts for the last few weeks too. Really cutting in to my grilling and bbq-ing time. :(
A bunch of black kettles

Update.....

Pepper stout ready to shred and then reduce liquid and its done.

Pork butt is cruising right along internal temp about 160°F so it has a while longer to go. All in all it is going good.
