Weber Weekend
« on: July 05, 2014, 09:47:52 AM »
I've been in the market for a smoker for awhile now. I have been hesitant to pull the trigger on a purchase but when a NIB 18.5" WSM popped up on CL I had to pounce.

This morning I fired up the new smoker and threw a pork shoulder on.

THEN I got a lead on a 18.5" OTS from Mike. I haven't had any luck in the past snagging a red off of CL but I went ahead and contacted the seller. This morning I picked up red and it looks great with the red Genesis I grabbed over Memorial Day weekend.

What a weekend! Happy 4th of July everyone!!

Wow, that looks like a really nice red 18!  Goes well with your 3 burner.  Awesome find on the WSM too.

The 18 is in excellent shape.  Handles are a bit beat up but other than that no significant dents or chips.

Now if a 26er or 22.5 red made it's way to my backyard I'd call that the Weber trifecta.

Nice work!

And the weekend isn't over yet-- keep your eyes peeled for a flat-top red 26, Teer!

Very nice.  The Genesis and OTS all in red look great.  I need to find  blue Genesis and then I will be set

That's a brand new WSM with the thermometer probe gasket. (As opposed to a 'new old stock' NIB.) Very nice!

And those two reds look great too. :)

BTW, how did the shoulder come out? I put my 18 WSM to good use today with a brisket (and then cooked some bacon since the coals were still hot.)
kettles, smokers...
