Weber kettle leg tab welds

The welded tabs that hold the legs on rusted off.1995 weber 22 kettle.Just wondering how common this is.

Rust is common.. Depending on where the gril lived or lives, that adds to the life expectnacy.
If you post us some pics, we can show you how to fix it..
Unless you just plan on buying a shiny new grill... But seriously, if its not too bad, the repiar is easy enough with a sharp drill bit and some stainless steel screws..

 It happens.....not super common, think it comes from the leg getting shocked or banged around somehow & that weakens the welds a bit............. but it can be fixed, see here:

 He's fixing the older style kettle there;

If it's a One Touch with the helicopter vents & the single control handle, you may want to use littler self-tapping sheet metal screws so the blades will still swipe over the area where it's bolted............

am I describing that well enough?
